PPI Rises Moderately

Today’s economic data came in close to expectations and had little impact. September PPI rose 0.4% from August and increased at a 4.0% annual rate. Core PPI, which excludes food and energy, rose 0.1% from the prior month and increased 1.6% from one year ago. Weekly Jobless Claims rose to 462K, while the 4-week average dropped to 459K. The Dow is up 10 points. No more economic data will be released today. The results from the 30-yr Treasury auction will be released at 1:00 et.
